McDougal Littell Course 2 Mathematics For 7th Grade
Our class set is already in, and won't be sharing with another student, so take care of your book. Bring a cover, or use a paper bag, but we need to make sure they are are kept in top shape for this school year. We'll be checking into their online resources, and seeing what we can use.

The lessons from the website are available on the CD. The CD runs on Windows and Macintosh computers and you do not need to be connected to the internet to use the lessons. This is a feature that is desired by many parents of young students. There are no advertisements on the CD. The CD is also available in a Spanish language version.

So handy is this website, that I've included it in many activities and lessons that students can access by computer. This site's activities encourage students to think about mathematics in a visual way, as well as learning how to solve many types of problems, and learn to "think mathematically."

Buying My First Car
Task: Each group of two students will be given a sum of money (i.e.$5,000 inheritance) to spend on a car. With this money they will have to make the best choice in financing, choosing the appropriate car for their situation, and answer all of the other questions that occur when a major purchase is made.
Coordinate Plane Graphing
Task: Students will become familiar with plotting and locating points on the coordinate plane. This lesson will give students the opportunity to practice plotting points with immediate feedback.
